Test Cricket
Test Cricket is the first format of cricket. After Test, One day International and Twenty 20 cricket came. It is believed that the first cricket (not official) was played in the year 1789, between England and the second team is not known. The first official test cricket was played in 1877 from 15 March 1877 – 4 April 1877, between England and Australia. Australian captain was Dave Gregory and England's captain was James Lillywhite. After a brief history of test cricket I will give some records of test crickets, from bowling, batting and fielding.
Bowling
• Alfred Shaw bowled the first ball in Test cricket.
• Allen Hill took the first wicket in Test cricket.
• Billy Midwinter took the first ever 5 wicket haul in Test cricket.
• Billy Midwinter became the first Australian to take a 5 wicket haul in Test cricket.
• Alfred Shaw became the first Englishman to take a 5 wicket haul in Test cricket.
• England spin bowler Jim Laker took 19 wickets for 90 runs which is a best figure record.
• Muttiah Muralitharan has taken fastest 200 wickets in test cricket.
Batting
• Charles Bannerman scored the first ever run in Test cricket.
• Charles Bannerman faced the first ball in Test cricket.
• Charles Bannerman scored 69.6% of his team's match runs, still a world record.
• Sachin Tendulkar has made highest number of run (14692 runs).
• Allan Border has made highest number of 50s (63) in test cricket.
• Sachin Tendulkar has made highest number of 100s (51) in test cricket.
• Donald Bradman has made double hundreds (12) highest number of times.
• Jacques Kallis has made fastest 50 in test cricket. 54 runs in 24 balls.
• Viv Richards has made fastest 100 in test cricket. 110 runs in 56 balls.
Fielding
• Allen Hill took the first ever catch in Test cricket.
• Jack Blackham took the first ever catch by a wicket-keeper in Test cricket.
• Jack Blackham effected the first ever stumping in Test cricket.

• Sachin Tendulkar played most test cricket.
• Highest runs made in test cricket (956-6 Dec) by Sri Lanka against India on 2 Aug 1997.
• Lowest runs made in test cricket (26 runs) by New Zealand against England on 25 Mar 1955.
• Muttiah Muralitharan taken highest number of wickets (800 wickets) in test cricket.
• Muttiah Muralitharan taken 22 times 10 wickets in an innings which is highest.
• Muttiah Muralitharan taken 67 times 5 wickets in an innings which is highest.
• Highest Individual Score stands for Brian Lara. he has made 400* runs not-out.
